Here's what London app developers can expect Apple CEO Tim Cook to reveal at today's WWDC:
- iRadio - a new streaming radio service tied to iTunes, creating radio stations (Pandora-style) based on your iTunes song history. Apple has reportedly done deals with Universal, Warner and possibly Sony for the service
- New MacBooks - next-generation Haswell MacBooks with extended battery life and improved performance, whilst being thinner and lighter
- OS X 10.9 - codenamed "Cabernet" will include better multi-monitor support, correcting some previous issues
- iOS7 design shift - Jonny Ive appears to be moving away from skeumorphism. Many textured surfaces will be flattened
- iPhone 6 - no, that will probably happen in a few months
- retina iPad mini - probably not yet
Like most London app developers, we're pretty excited to see what's next... since without Apple, we couldn't have even imagined being in this business.
Here's the Mashable article that expands on the above expectations: http://mashable.com/2013/06/09/wwdc-2013-what-to-expect
